Event Registration and Badging:
FIRST requires every Championship attendee to be registered and badged, including adult team mentors, youth team members, parents, family members, chaperones, etc. who are participating in the event. Attendee registration grants access to participant-only activities and increases the security of the event. On Thursday, April 21, registration will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Important! If you chose not to book your event housing with FIRST, your team is still required to register through the registration system to receive your FIRST Championship name badges that are required to access the pits. We strongly encourage all attendees to register in advance to minimize time spent getting name badges.
Lunches:
Pre-order lunches are available at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Lunch on Saturday will happen before the closing ceremonies. In order to ensure we stay on time, we encourage you to make lunch arrangements prior to that morning. Lunch Order Form
Team Packets:
Coaches can pick up the Team Packet from Explore Pit Admin beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 20. In the packet you will find reviewing and activity schedules, maps, important reminders, and more.
Coaches' Meeting:
Make sure that at least one of your team’s coaches is on-site and available to attend the Coaches’ Meeting at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, in Room 330. This is your opportunity to hear about important procedures and timelines, and it gives you the opportunity to ask questions. You will receive your team’s assigned reviewing time during this time. Don’t miss this important meeting!
Prayer Rooms:
There will be two prayer rooms available for anyone wishing to observe religious practice onsite during event hours. Prayer rooms are located on the 2nd level of the Marriott Marquis Houston in Montgomery rooms A&B. The Marriott Marquis Houston is attached to the George R. Brown Convention Center and can be accessed from the level 2 skybridge located north of Mezzanine A.
Consent and Release Forms:
When you check in at World Festival on Wednesday, we ask that you provide any paper-copy consent and release forms for your team members along with a team roster.
⚡ For teams in the U.S. and Canada: if your team members’ guardians have previously completed the electronic consent and release form through the FIRST Dashboard, you do not need to provide a paper copy for them at the event.
⚡ International Teams: Click here to complete the Consent and Release waiver.
Please note that any student without this required form signed by a parent/guardian may not be able to participate in the event. Coaches may not sign the form for all students on their team.
