On January 4, FIRST^® launched the ocean-inspired FIRST^® Robotics Competition season game with the reveal of REEFSCAPE^SM presented by Haas. Celebrated by thousands of FIRST community members around the world, the kickoff broadcast also included field tour videos and a special message from FIRST Founder Dean Kamen, and former NASA engineer turned YouTube celebrity and founder of CrunchLabs, Mark Rober.

In REEFSCAPE, teams will use their STEM and collaboration skills to explore life beneath the surface of the ocean. Along the way, they’ll uncover the potential in each of us to strengthen our community and innovate for a better world with healthy oceans.

Hear from FIRST alumni Julia and Evan as they share how their experiences with FIRST prepared them for exciting careers in STEM. Now thriving in careers at Molex, Julia and Evan are leveraging the skills they gained to contribute to cutting-edge technology and mentor the next generation of innovators.

From being a supporter of the “Get Anywhere” campaign to providing tools and mentorship, Molex is empowering students to build the skills that will help them get anywhere they want to go.

FIRST is currently accepting proposals for the 2025 FIRST Championship Conferences that will be running Wednesday, April 15, through Friday, April 18, at the 2025 FIRST Championship presented by BAE Systems. Students, mentors, educators, coaches, volunteers, staff, and sponsors are welcome to submit a proposal before our January 31 deadline. Presenters will be notified in late February if they have been selected.
