FIRST® LEGO® League SUBMERGEDSM Season Launch

The ocean awaits! FIRST® LEGO® League SUBMERGEDSM launches Tuesday, August 6, at 12:00 p.m. ET with welcome messages from some of your FIRST® favorites. Season materials for the Challenge, Explore, and Discover divisions will be available for download, including video resources, guidebooks, build instructions, technical resources, social graphics, logos, recruitment posters, and more.

In the SUBMERGED challenge, teams will use creative thinking and LEGO® technology to explore the layers of the ocean and bring their learnings and ideas to the surface as they “sea” into the future. Registration for teams and Class Packs are now open.

Mark Rober at FIRST Championship

Former NASA engineer turned YouTube celebrity and founder of CrunchLabs, Mark Rober, visited the 2024 FIRST Championship and quickly found out he had more than a few fans in the FIRST community! Check out the epic “stunt double” switch he had to pull to make his way through the venue.

I Can Be Inclusive Too E-Course

Created in collaboration with Kids Included Together (KIT), the “I Can Be Inclusive Too E-Course” training focuses on providing coaches and mentors with a better understanding of some of the challenges youth with disabilities face, and how to create a more welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone on their FIRST teams.

#PeopleofSTEAM: Meet Erin

A mechanical engineer by trade, Erin spent many years at NASA and MIT before starting her own business in 2023. Her company, STEAM Power Media, serves as a translator between scientists and engineers and the public. Through digital media she shares STEAM experiences with the world.
