Congratulations to Camille Manet, grand prize winner of the Build My Droid Contest powered by Star Wars: Force for Change and FIRST. In October, Star Wars and FIRST teamed up to give fans and artists ages 16 and up the chance to design a droid for the Star Wars galaxy. Camille created astromech droid KP-1, which will be brought to life by Lucasfilm and included in an upcoming Star Wars project! Dean Kamen was among the panel of judges for this contest of finalist entries.

FIRST and Beyond, the Fiscal Year 2019 Annual Impact Report, is now available. Through stories and data, FIRST and Beyond highlights 30 years of FIRST inspiration and innovation, looks back at the FIRST LAUNCH season, and profiles members of the FIRST community.

FIRST participant Ishaan Oberoi shares his experience learning from Apple engineers at the Apple Engineering Technology Camp, where he built on skills he developed through FIRST and then brought his takeaways back to his FIRST^® Tech Challenge team.
