At FIRST Championship, Mark Hamill and R2-D2 helped reveal the 2019-2020 season, FIRST® RISESM, powered by Star Wars: Force for Change. The cross-program theme will set out to inspire citizens of the galaxy to build a stronger, more sustainable future.
Last week in Detroit, over 43,000 students, coaches, and supporters celebrated innovation at the 2019 FIRST Championship presented by Qualcomm® Incorporated. Congratulations to the 700+ teams who competed and exhibited across all FIRST programs, and thank you to the volunteers and sponsors who made the event possible.
Amazon Provides Robotics Grants to 100 Schools
Last month, Amazon and FIRST announced that 100 schools will receive Amazon Future Engineer Robotics Grants to bring game-changing FIRST programs to underrepresented and underserved communities across 21 states.
