Introducing command-based programming with robots
Our new five-part activity series on FIRST® @ Home helps you learn command-based programming using the Romi Robot kit. In activities created by the FIRST Education team, with support from WPI and Bloomberg, you’ll take on the role of programmers to create code, develop logic, analyze a problem, and compete to solve a real-world program. Coaches and educators in the United States can apply for grant funding generously provided by Bloomberg to cover the cost of a limited number of Romi Robot packages and Raspberry Pi devices.

Star Wars stamps and LEGO builds celebrate FIRST partnership
The Force remains strong with the FIRST and Star Wars: Force for Change partnership. The United States Postal Service announced the upcoming release of a collection of stamps featuring Star Wars droids, inspired by Lucasfilm and parent company Disney’s commitment to STEM learning through FIRST. We also recently announced the winners of the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Contest sponsored by Star Wars: Force for Change, FIRST, and The LEGO Group and judged by FIRST LEGO League alumni Sanjay and Arvind Seshan. Check out the impressive builds on the Star Wars blog.
