Technology leader Larry Cohen named FIRST® president

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Lawrence “Larry” Cohen as the new president of FIRST®. Cohen succeeds Don Bossi and joins FIRST after more than 30 years in various leadership roles, where he drove business transformations primarily in the areas of information technology and operations. “I am honored and thrilled to join this inspiring and game-changing organization, which I’ve seen have an enormous impact in my own community and around the world,” Cohen said.

9 communities receive grants to expand STEM education

This year, nine communities will receive STEM Equity Community Innovation Grants to tackle the STEM education gap by developing new, innovative approaches to advance equity in STEM. To date, FIRST has awarded 47 STEM Equity grants totaling $1.6 million across the United States and Canada.
