Each year, volunteers around the globe go above and beyond to positively impact our students and the FIRST community. The FIRST Volunteer of the Year award is a way for us to recognize volunteers around the world who give extraordinary contributions of time and skills to the FIRST community. Learn more about the INTO THE DEEP Kickoff Celebration What’s New on the Dashboard in Volunteer Registration: Languages Spoken and Reasonable Accommodation Requests Volunteers now have the option to share the languages they speak and any reasonable accommodation requests they have with FIRST to help us better understand your needs at our events. Refer to the Volunteer Registration User Guide on how to update your Dashboard profile. By sharing the Languages you Speak: FIRST can better support communities in your area with those language needs at events. FIRST can better support you. Requesting a Reasonable Accommodation: Reasonable accommodations ensure that people with disabilities who are part of the FIRST community have equal access to participate in FIRST. Could you increase your impact with an employer matching gift program? Many employers will match your volunteer hours and/or cash donations with double or even triple cash contributions to organizations like FIRST.
