Educator Recognition Program
Teachers are a vital part of the FIRST community. This is why we want to recognize your outstanding dedication, passion, and the impact you bring to your students. Know a phenomenal educator who deserves to be recognized? Our nominations are now open and close on December 9!
Our session slides are great for guiding your team meetings!
Regardless of what program you have, be sure to check out the session slides! Our FIRST Education Team works hard to develop content you can use during your team meetings. These provide you with great content to show to your students and help guide you through the engineering notebook.

Six Bricks Activities
Six Bricks activities are designed to help build student's communication skills, problem solving, language, movement, and memory. Each activity takes between 5-10 minutes and are a great way to start your meetings.
Learning doesn't stop when students leave the classroom. Families who participate together in FIRST LEGO League discover the power of curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving, building the foundation for life-long confidence in STEM learning. FIRST® LEGO® LeagueExplore Class Pack
The true value of FIRST is that we are about so much More Than RobotsSM. At the heart of our community are the FIRST Core Values which nurture the development of the whole child instead of the building of one skill set. Students of all ages can engage in these activities so give one a try!
Core Values Activity - Can You Duplicate It?
Provide each student with the same materials - these can be LEGO bricks, recyclables, or any other material you have access to. Pair up your students, one will start as the leader and the other the follower. Have the leader create something with these materials and then present it to the builder; the leader will give verbal instructions to the builder to see if the item can be duplicated. The students can then switch roles and do the activity again.
This activity will help students practice teamwork and communication!
