CELEBRATE INNOVATION

FIRST® empowers young people to be catalysts for change. In FIRST®  LEGO® League Challenge, students ages 9-16 explore what it means to be an innovator, finding solutions for today’s societal problems to impact the world for generations to come. As part of this year’s challenge, participants are tasked with identifying unique solutions in communities and reimagine how to make a city or town a better place for everyone.
This year, Disney has teamed up with FIRST to inspire and celebrate the next generation of innovators who will change the future through the FIRST LEGO League Global Innovation Award. The award is open to the 40,000 FIRST LEGO League teams in more than 100 countries. 20 semi-finalist teams will advance and showcase their research and inventions, and meet with industry leaders.

FIRST, the world’s leading youth-serving nonprofit advancing STEM education, creates the people who will change the world – today and tomorrow. We prepare young people for the future through robotics and real world challenges that have a proven impact on learning, interest and skill-building inside and outside of the classroom.

In the 2020-2021 season, we’re stepping into the world of sports, play, and fitness – moving, collaborating, competing, and celebrating. In RePLAYSM, FIRST LEGO League Challenge students will explore the activities we can do in different spaces for play and how we can ensure that our games and activities are fun and accessible for everyone involved.

Complete the form to learn more about RePLAY and see what innovative solutions the next generation of problem-solvers will create next.

FIRST LEGO League has helped me become a better innovator, think outside the box, and not to be scared to tackle problems like scientists and engineers have been trying to solve for years. It doesn’t matter if people think your solution is too weird or too different to work. When you show you can fix a problem in a new way, they will understand. The fact that it was different is what made it successful.”
