FIRST® Alum Becomes Program Director

FIRST has announced a FIRST alum, Collin Fultz, is the new Senior Director of FIRST® Robotics Competition. “The FIRST experience has shaped my life – professionally and personally – for more than 20 years,” said Collin. “My goal is to make this life-changing experience more accessible to students around the world.”

New FIRST Professional Development Dates Available

FIRST remote Professional Development session dates are now available for January and February 2023. There are sessions available for FIRST® LEGO® League (Discover, Explore, and Challenge) and FIRST® Tech Challenge. These professional development opportunities are great for new coaches and teachers.

Meet Hack Clubbers Abby and Caleb

FIRST participant Abby and FIRST alum Caleb are two teenagers at Hack Club, the largest online network of teen hackers in the country, who discovered their love for coding through FIRST. This year, Hack Club and FIRST will give $500 to support any high schooler running a hackathon (a weekend coding event) in their community. “I realized [through FIRST] how important community is and how cool it is to share what you are passionate about with others and talk about it together,” said Abby.
