As you are getting things rolling with your students this season, the members of the FIRST®Education team are working to cultivate resources just for you.
Below you will find a wealth of content to help you implement our FIRST Class Pack offerings. Our aim is to continue to provide you with the most up-to-date and easy-to-implement material!
Designing for the Mini Game
The Designing for the Game Module contains lessons to support students competing in the 2023 Mini-Game, CENTERSTAGESM presented by RTX.
These three lessons cover computational thinking to understand the game rules and how to score points, using the engineering design process to develop a plan for how to build their robot, and a series of class challenges that can be implemented in the following modules: Building and Programming a Robot, Machines to Mechanisms, Sensors, Machine Learning, and Java, and Improving through Iteration I & II.
You can access this module by logging into Thinkscape and selecting it from the list of available modules.
Check Out a Local Event
Did you know that there are FIRST®Tech Challenge events happening all over the world right now? While you might be getting started with the Class Pack and building foundational skills, you can still check out what the competitive teams in your area are up to. Consider looking for a local event to attend to get some inspiration!

Nominations are Open for the Inspire the Future Recognition Program
At FIRST®, recognition is not only part of our name, it's core to our ethos. In this spirit, we are proud to launch our third year of the Inspire the Future: FIRST Educators Recognition Program. NEW this year, you may nominate outstanding schools as part of the first annual Inspire the Future: FIRST School Recognition Program.
Help us celebrate the FIRST educators and schools who inspire their learning communities and advance the mission of FIRST by submitting a nomination.
FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST® Robotics Competition teams now have access to a Career Planning Toolkit.
These lessons are meant to support students over multiple FIRST seasons to connect their learning and career path. These lessons include career interest tools to help students identify roles that might suit them on a team and help them create learning goals to support their careers. Students can use these goals to increase skills on their resume to support their education path. They are also guided in learning for a future career through work-based learning, industry certifications, internships, and apprenticeships.
These modules can be accessed through the FIRST Dashboard in Thinkscape.
FIRST LEGO League or FIRST Tech Challenge Class Pack 2023-2024 purchasers based in the United States can apply for a Class Pack grant to cover some of the cost of a corresponding 2023-2024 first-year individual team registration.
