Tech Tip of the Week 

In the past five years the hobby servo market has changed immensely, but the rules we use in FIRST Tech Challenge to govern them have remained mostly the same. FIRST Tech Challenge presents, above all others, a very unique packaging challenge to competitors. Teams are challenged to fit a lot of power and features in a very small footprint; servos are being relied on more and more to fill this need.

In this Tech Tip of the Week, we explore Servo Mechanical Power in more depth to understand how servos work, understand what features of servos are most important, and understand how to compare servos at a high level. Join us over at ftc-docs Tech Tip of the Week for the full story!

While the FIRST season might be over, there is plenty to do in the off-season! To encourage learning and developing new skills, FIRST^® is collaborating with Hack Club to launch the Hack Club Arcade, an event where students earn prizes by building projects. 2024-2025 FIRST Tech Challenge New Team Hardship Grant 

The 2024-2025 FIRST  Tech Challenge New Team Hardship Grant is now live. Awarded new teams will receive a one-time $750 grant which can be used towards FIRST Tech Challenge season registration and products exclusively the FIRST Tech Challenge Storefront. Please keep in mind that only new FIRST Tech Challenge teams in USA, Mexico, Canada, or USA Military APO may receive this grant and must fit the eligibility requirements stated on the grant page. The next grant cycle ends July 16!
