We’ll be broadcasting the Kickoff show on FIRSTtv.

FIRST® Innovation Challenge Update
To assist in your planning for the FIRST® FORWARDSM presented by Qualcomm season, we’re sharing that FIRST headquarters has decided not to run the FIRST Innovation Challenge for FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST® Robotics Competition teams this fall. We are proud of the ingenuity of last season’s participating teams and are grateful to the mentors, volunteers, and sponsors who helped inspire innovation within our community. As we begin our FIRST FORWARD season, our commitment to creating future innovators continues. As one of the FIRST Core Values, innovation remains at the heart of everything we do, and learning how to creatively solve problems together is key to success in each of our programs.

While the FIRST Innovation Challenge is paused for the immediate future, we’re excited to evaluate its success and determine future possibilities for its role. We know we’ll continue to hear stories of FIRST teams identifying problems and inventing solutions within their communities. If that sounds like you, we invite you to share your innovation accomplishments via the FIRST Stories form.
