Program Updates, Deadlines & Reminders 
 
Additional Inter-Districts Events: Additional Inter-Districts Events opened Tuesday, November 8 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time and will close on Monday, November 14 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time.
 
Upcoming Important Deadlines! Please note these important deadlines on Monday, November 14:
  • The registration fee payment is due on Monday, November 14, at 5 p.m. Eastern Time. Teams that need to secure payment after the deadline will need to contact our Finance department, either by calling (603) 666-3906 ext. 563 or by sending an email to ar@firstinspires.org.
    • Please note if your team is waiting on a grant to be applied, please do not check out. If your grant is not applied by the payment deadline, your team will not be dropped from the season. We will continue to actively work with teams on their registration status.
  • The Kit and Kickoff shipping information is due on Monday, November 14, at 12 p.m. noon Eastern Time. Shipping information for the Kit of Parts for secured teams cannot be updated through the system after this deadline. Teams that wish to register and receive a Kit of Parts after this deadline will need to contact Team Support via email at firstroboticscompetition@firstinspires.org.
  • Registration for All Events closes on Monday, November 14, at 12 p.m. noon Eastern Time. Teams that wish to register for an event after this deadline will need to contact Team Support via email at firstroboticscompetition@firstinspires.org.
 
Reminder! 2023 FIRST Choice: Round 1 of FIRST® Choice opens Thursday, November 17 at 12 noon Eastern Time. More information is available on the Kit of Parts page.
 
Pre-Kickoff Virtual Kit Release: The 2023 Virtual Kit of Parts will go live at 12 noon Eastern Time on November 17 for secured teams (if you haven’t secured payment yet, any necessary voucher codes will be populated on the Password/Voucher Code section of the Dashboard for lead mentors 1 and 2 once payment is secured). The details and instructions will be posted in the Virtual Kit section of the Kit of Parts webpage.
 
2023 Approved Devices, Rules Preview, and Vision Target Update: Check out this FIRST® Robotics Competition Blog to learn more about the approved devices for the 2023 season, a preview of 2023 Robot Rules, as well as an update on the AprilTags being used on the field.
 
Youth Registration: Youth registration for the 2023 season is in full swing. Instructions and tutorials for parent/guardians can be found on the Youth Registration System Overview page.
 
 
FIRST Updates 
 
Hundreds of Mentors Ready to Help! It’s not too late for your team to find help for this season! Sign your team up for the FIRST® Mentor Network. You will be able to quickly find and communicate with hundreds of FIRST verified mentors to provide you and your team with expertise and collaboration. Create your team profile today!
 
 
Community Engagement   
 
We want to feature your teams at an event this season! Teams can submit videos for the opportunity to be highlighted at a 2023 FIRST Robotics Competition event. Choose one or more of the following and make a video that is 20 seconds or less and submit it into this form. Videos must be submitted by January 31, 2023:
  • Show us your craziest or weirdest non-traditional application of your robot (e.g. dance moves, pizza delivery, etc.)      
  • Show us your team pets (bonus points for pets in team apparel*)
    • *actually, there are no points, but we would still love to see it!
  • Show us your most creative Mascot Dance Moves            
  • Show us your team's favorite cheer  
  • Show us your most unique robot/mechanism fails (e.g. prototype works opposite of how you thought, robot drives in wrong direction, etc.)
