In town before the event starts? Visit the Robert Shaw Center for STEAM on Monday or Tuesday: Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity for FIRST teams to visit/tour the world class Robert Shaw Center for STEAM (RSC) on April 16 and April 17 from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. The 24,000 square foot RSC is currently home to 5 FIRST FRC Teams (Teams 624, Team 2882, Team 4639, Team 5427, and Team 6488) with room to accommodate 8 teams total, one for each high school.  More details on the RSC can be found here.

The RSC is located just off Interstate 10 about 30 miles west of Houston. The address is: 1730 Katyland Dr, Katy, TX 77493. If you would like to visit, please contact booster@team624.org to let the team know which day/time you are coming and how many will be in your group.

Transport with PODS®: Looking for an easy option to transport your Pit materials? Make PODS your first choice to get to the FIRST Championship. Details here.

Stream matches right in your Pit! Bring a TV or Monitor to hook up to the provided RF Cable Drop and view feeds from each sub-division live feed, as well as the sub-division standings. Please reference the Pit cable specifications ahead of the event.

Attendee Registration: Make sure to pre-register your team members ahead of time, so that you won’t have to wait on site. All attendees must be badged for the FIRST Championship. Pre-registration makes the check-in and badging process easier for you and shortens your wait time in line. A shorter wait time means more time for your team to enjoy the event! Attendee registration will remain open through the week of the event.

Reference the Hotels and Badging page for more information and to pre-register.

Make the most out of your FIRST Championship experience: When you’re not on the field – volunteer! You and your team can work with and inspire tens of thousands of students from around the world and still be front-row to the excitement. Volunteer opportunities for all programs are still available, including Student Ambassadors. Learn how your team can help here.

FIRST Global needs you! Come learn more about FIRST Global and how you can get involved! The second annual FIRST Global Challenge will be held in Mexico City, Mexico August 15th - 18th, 2018. There will be two formal information sessions on how to get involved on Thursday, April 19th at 1:00 PM and 5:30 PM in the Montgomery Room at the Marriott Marquee Hotel. For those unable to attend the sessions, please drop in between 10 AM and 12 PM to get information and ask questions about volunteer opportunities with FIRST Global.
