Hi Friend,

FIRST® Championship Volunteers: Are you attending either FIRST Championship with your team? Or maybe your team didn’t qualify but you don’t want to miss out on more FIRST fun? Consider donating some of your time to volunteering at the event! It takes almost 800 volunteers just to run the FIRST® Robotics Competition Program at each Championship location. We have several roles that are 1-day roles (such as team load-in and team load-out) and several that are multi-day (field reset, robot inspecting, plus more). Log in to your account to see what roles we still need volunteers for at each location and apply if you are able! We do need the most help in Houston, so if you are interested, please register to volunteer! Questions? Email firstchampionshipvolunteer@firstinspires.org

Eighth Annual U.S. Air Force / FIRST Leadership Experience for FIRST Teachers who are Mentors: The U.S. Air Force develops leaders of great character and vision. For the eighth year, the U.S. Air Force is offering a unique three-day leadership program providing FIRST mentors with hands on leadership training taught by Air Force personnel. This year’s event will take place from July 14 to July 18 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio.

The event consists of lectures, team building exercise, and tours and demonstrations at a local Air Force Base. The Air Force will select a group of 24 mentors who are teachers from FIRST® Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition teams who live within the continental United States and are helping inspire today’s youth to become the technical leaders of tomorrow.

For additional information about this opportunity, click here. Applications must be submitted by Friday, May 10. Applicants, if selected, will be notified by Friday, May 24.
