FIRST® LEGO® League MASTERPIECESM Details Revealed

It’s showtime! This week, we launched the 2023-2024 FIRST® LEGO® League MASTERPIECESM season, part of FIRST® IN SHOWSM presented by Qualcomm. Participants ages 4-16 from around the world (ages vary by country) will inspire students to imagine and innovate new ways to create and communicate art across the globe in a one-of-a-kind, art-inspired robotics season.

Get started today by downloading materials for the Discover, Explore, and Challenge divisions. Celebrate the new season with MASTERPIECE-themed wallpapers, social graphics, and posters. You can find all this info and more on the Game & Season page.

New Professional Development Sessions

FIRST Certified Professional Development provides tools to bring FIRST programs to your classroom or structured afterschool program. You'll grow your project-based learning facilitation skills and gain experience using the program materials. Registration is open for several upcoming in-person and remote sessions through February 2024 for FIRST LEGO League (Discover, Explore and Challenge) and FIRST® Tech Challenge.

Five Ways to Support Career and Technical Education

Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides students and adults with the academic and technical skills, knowledge, and training necessary to succeed in future careers and develop skills they will use throughout their lives. All FIRST programs are designed using a project-based learning methodology that aligns to most U.S. state Career and Technical Education (CTE) frameworks for STEM, Engineering, and Manufacturing pathways.

A Message About Francois Castaing

It’s with much sadness that we share the news that Francois J. Castaing, a longtime supporter of FIRST, has passed away. Castaing, retired Executive Vice President, Chrysler Corporation, served on the FIRST Board of Directors from 1994 to 2013, when he became an Honorary Director. From the FIRST community, we extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
