FIRST and UNCF Announce New Scholars Program

FIRST announced a new initiative that, in cooperation with UNCF (United Negro College Fund), will make scholarships available to students who are pursuing undergraduate programs in their field of choice at Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). The FIRST x UNCF Scholars Program is a new effort that builds on many FIRST collaborations to develop and deliver strategies that remove barriers and ensure greater access to FIRST programs and educational opportunities for youth around the world.

Build the Future Spotlight: Space Cookies

FIRST® Robotics Challenge Team 1868 “Space Cookies” from the Bay Area in California is expanding their award-winning 2021 FIRST® Innovation Challenge project focused on menstrual equity. They’re working to ensure menstrual products are free and easily accessible at FIRST Robotics Competition events around the world to enable safe, healthy, enjoyable, and fully inclusive experiences. With Disney and Lucasfilm, we’re sharing their story as part of our Build the Future powered by Star Wars: Force for Change initiative.
