2025 FIRST^® Championship Update

Coming to you from FIRST^® LEGO^® League Headquarters in Manchester, NH, USA.   

Welcome World Festival Teams: 

This is the sixth and final email blast for the FIRST^® LEGO^® League Challenge World Festival at the 2025 FIRST^® Championship presented by BAE Systems in Houston, TX, USA.

From April 16-19, teams from around the world will be together in Houston at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

If your team recently registered for the event – welcome! Read our previous email. 

We’ll be sharing important event information in these email blasts. Please read ALL provided information as it may pertain to your team and/or travel arrangements. 

What’s New? 

Encore Alliances Now Available  
The Encore is a celebration for all teams on Saturday, April 19. All teams have been assigned two Alliance Partners, even if you have not registered for Encore. Together, you will play a robot game that will be released on site. 

Teams can now view your Encore Alliances.  

Haven't registered? There's still time! Register for Encore.

Not sure if your team is registered? On the list of alliances, teams that are not registered are noted with an asterisk. 

Teams are encouraged to bring one SUBMERGED^SM Challenge set per alliance. Find more information.

Coaches' Meeting 
An in-person coach meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 16, at 2:30 p.m. in the General Assembly at the George R. Brown Convention Center to share final event details. At least one coach from your team should attend.

Important Reminders:

Action May be Required – Traveling Abroad?  
Teams are encouraged to print any relevant travel documents, such as your Welcome Letter, VISA Letter, hotel confirmation and reservation details, and return trip details.

To request the VISA Invitation letter, please use the Visa Letter Form.

Event Guide and Schedule 
Teams are expected to arrive and set up their pits on Wednesday, April 16. Be sure to review the FIRST LEGO League Challenge addendum for a detailed schedule, which will be updated regularly leading up to the event.

Detailed information about the Robot Game and World Festival judging have been added to the FIRST LEGO League Challenge addendum.    

Teams are expected to have their team pits packed up and out of the Grand Ballroom by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18.

The FIRST Championship Event Guide is your downloadable, printable guide to our event at the George R. Brown Convention Center, including notable happenings, safety information and event logistics.

Team Pit Space 
Your team will be assigned to an 8-foot x 8-foot (2.4 meters x 2.4 meters) space which will be your home at the World Festival. Be sure to review the FIRST LEGO League Challenge addendum for more information!
