2024 FIRST® Championship Conferences Proposals

FIRST® is currently accepting proposals for the 2024 FIRST® Championship Conferences (April 17-20), part of the 2024 FIRST Championship presented by BAE Systems. Students, mentors, educators, coaches, volunteers, staff, and sponsors are welcome to submit a proposal by the February 9 deadline. Presenters will be notified in mid-March if selected.

Host School Vacation Camps with FIRST Camp Resources

Introduce your students to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and life-changing FIRST programs by hosting a FIRST Camp. Using the FIRST Camp resources as your guide, get ready for an unforgettable STEM adventure filled with hands-on learning and teamwork. Your campers will participate in age-appropriate robotics and coding activities that will ignite their curiosity throughout the week-long camp experience.    

To run your camp, you’ll need access to FIRST® LEGO® League division or FIRST® Tech Challenge materials. You can register for a FIRST Class Pack or utilize prior-season materials if you’ve recently participated in FIRST.

#PeopleofSTEAM: Meet Adi

Aditya (Adi) Mehrotra is a FIRST alum and a Mechanical Engineering graduate student at MIT. Using his FIRST-gained skills, Adi is able to add valuable knowledge and experience to his professional work as an instructor in the MIT D-Lab and as a member of the MIT Electric Vehicle Team.

Not only does he make an impact at MIT, but he has also spent time in Ghana working with Moving Health to use STEAM to address the issue of maternal mortality and is passionate about finding sustainable and renewable energy solutions for developing countries and using cinematography to change perceptions of these communities.
