Whether you are in the classroom, remote, or in a hybrid environment, the FIRST at Home curriculum series gives teachers, parents, and coaches ways to engage students in STEM learning, skill building, and FUN. 

 

Each activity features a specific skill area and topic for students to work through using the engineering design process, and can be done individually or in collaboration, used as a stand-alone lesson, or bundled together as a series to deepen STEM learning.

  • FIRST Core Values Activities – 10 lesson series that focuses on social, emotional learning practices combined with FIRST Core Values.

  • Operation Clean Water by Kneoworld – 1 lesson that combines the exploration of water cycles at the K-4 grade levels, a fun story, and engineering challenge.     

  • Command Based Programming Series – 5 lesson series that uses the Pololu Romi robot to explore programming in the FIRST Robotics Competition programming through the WPILib platform.   

  • Engineering Activity Series – 12 lessons for each age group to enjoy at home, with a team, in the classroom or remotely.  This includes a getting started guide, parent guide, and both lesson plans and student design briefs.  There are four age groups to choose from.  Mix and match lessons that meet the needs of your students!

    These lessons are also available via Scoutlier a digital learning platform. No downloading or printing required. Scoutlier digitized all content to ensure it works in a remote or hybrid learning environment.
