The new Dashboard opens today, May 11 at noon ET: Visit the streamlined registration website—a simplified dashboard with reminders. Two Youth Protection Program (YPP) screened Lead Coach/Mentors are still required to manage the team roster and begin meeting with youth; however, now Lead Coach/Mentors and Team Administrators can create teams, pay, and order products (if applicable) while the Lead Coach/Mentors are completing the screening process. The Dashboard at is open for FIRST® Robotics Competition Mentors to login and update their user profiles at this time. The Youth Team Member Registration is currently closed.
2017 National Advocacy Conference on June 25-27th in Washington, D.C. - Now that the Championship event is done, WE NEED MORE TEAMS/STUDENTS to make sure Congress takes FIRST® seriously! One or more students can attend with a parent or mentor or even a neighboring team. PLEASE mention it to your team to see if anyone is interested in attending. Application Closes May 19th - 6th Annual U.S. Air Force / FIRST Leadership Experience for FIRST Teachers & Mentors: The U.S. Air Force develops leaders of great character and vision. For the 6th year, the U.S. Air Force is offering a unique three-day leadership program providing FIRST mentors with hands on leadership training taught by Air Force personnel. This year’s experience will take place from July 23 to July 27 in Colorado Springs, CO.
The event consists of lectures, team building exercises and tours of the Air Force Academy and a local Air Force Base. The Air Force will select a group of 24 mentors who are teachers from FIRST® Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition teams who live within the continental United States and are helping inspire today’s youth to become the technical leaders of tomorrow.
