Event Rule Updates

FIRST^® Headquarters will be closing at 3:00 P.M. Eastern Time on Friday, December 22, 2017. Our regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 8:30 A.M. Eastern Time.

Event Rule Updates: We have made some changes to the rules pertaining to FIRST^® Robotics Competition events. Read about the changes in this blog post. A full list of event rules is located on the “Rules & Expectations for the FIRST Robotics Competition Events” page found in the Resource Library.

Event Housing: If you are traveling for a FIRST event this season, make sure to visit the Event Housing page, where we have streamlined the process for booking hotels near your event.

Apple Engineering Technology Camp: FIRST is happy to announce that, through our partnership with Apple, we have been asked to nominate FIRST Participants for the 2018 Apple Engineering Technology Camp.

Students must complete an application by January 5, 2018. Selected students from this pool will then be invited to apply directly with Apple in mid-January.

Deadline Extended! FIRST Championship Conferences: FIRST is still accepting presentation proposals for the annual FIRST Championship Conferences.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal for a presentation in Houston or Detroit, please submit your idea on or before Monday, January 8, 2017 by clicking here to fill out a short application.
