Hello Friend,

Reminder: The website will be decommissioned on January 31, 2017. Users can currently access the site at We are asking those who still use the site to provide us with the specific data and features available on the old website that you think are missing from the new website and would like to have available or implemented. Please send suggestions to

Championship Conferences: Does your team have a FIRST® Championship Conference presentation idea? FIRST is asking teams, coaches, and mentors who would be interested in presenting a topic that would be of interest to the FIRST community to submit a proposal regardless of their Championship registration status. More information about the FIRST Championship Conferences is located on the FIRST Championship website here: deadline to submit a Request for Proposal is January 30, 2017.

The FedEx Innovation Challenge Deadline Approaching: The 2017 FedEx Innovation Challenge, an interactive social-media competition, is open to all FIRST® Robotics Competition and FIRST® Tech Challenge teams in the U.S. The Innovation Challenge takes place through February 05, 2017. The top team in this year’s FedEx Innovation Challenge gets a $5,000 cash grant and an extra roboRIO controller.

All entries are submitted via Instagram and Twitter. Check out the rules and details at

Award Submission Deadlines Approaching: The Chairman’s Award and Woodie Flowers Award will close for submissions Thursday, February 9th at 3:00 pm Eastern Time. Submissions for the Entrepreneurship Award and Dean’s List Award close on Thursday, February 16th at 3:00 pm Eastern Time.

Please note that these submission deadlines are all in Eastern Time, and are firm.  Teams should plan to submit early to increase their chances of being on time.  No one wants your efforts to go to waste because of a late submission.

Detailed information about these awards can be found on our website here:

These awards, with the exception of the Dean’s List Award, must be submitted by a student award submitter from the student’s Dashboard. The student may submit the award by selecting the “Complete Youth Member Registration” button from the “I Want To” menu of the Dashboard and then selecting the “Awards” tab from the top of the Youth Team Member Registration System page. The option to submit the Dean’s List Award is available to the Lead Coach/Mentor 1 and 2 on the Dashboard. The Lead Coach/Mentor 1 and 2 also have the option to designate another adult mentor to be the Dean’s List Award Submitter, if the Dean’s List nominee is the Lead Coach/Mentor 1 and/or 2’s child.

The Lead Coaches/Mentor 1 and 2 can designate up to two (2) student award submitters by checking the “Award Submitter” box next to the student’s name in the team’s Full Roster, also accessed through the coach’s Dashboard.
